Microsoft X10 Conference Wrap-up

These are just some of the highlights of the just ended event held in San Francisco.

- Halo: Reach: No solid release date for the game, but Halo 3: ODST owners can get a taste of the title's multiplayer offering May 3. You'll need the original ODST game disc to play on Xbox Live.

-Alan Wake: This creepy psychological thriller about an author who must unravel the truth about a mysterious force plaguing a mountain town finally has a release date, May 18 (Xbox 360 exclusive).

-Dead Rising 2: The sequel to the zombie apocalypse title from Capcom will hit stores in August, but Xbox 360 owners will be able to get exclusive content just before its release with Dead Rising 2: Case Zero, available exclusively on Xbox Live.

-Modern Warfare 2: The first downloadable content pack for the insanely popular shooter will hit the Xbox 360 first this spring.

-Final Fantasy XIII: The RPG franchise makes its debut on Xbox 360 with a special-edition bundle that'll pack in a 250GB hard drive, two wireless controllers, exclusive add-ons for the game, and a copy of the title for $400 on March 9.

-Splinter Cell: Conviction: The Sam Fischer saga continues on April 13. After multiple delays, Xbox 360 and PC gamers will be able to guide Sam on a tale of revenge.

-Lost Planet 2: Lost Planet 2 will hit consoles on May 18, but Xbox 360 owners will be able to play as their favorite Gears of War characters as a bonus addition.

-Xbox Live Arcade: While Microsoft first debuted Game Room at CES 2010, the service will launch in March on Xbox Live. Also hitting XBL in March is a revamped version of the Nintendo 64 shooter Perfect Dark along with the army men game Toy Soldiers, and the top-down racer Scrap Metal.

Also making headlines at the show with release dates of "this year" were Crackdown 2, Fable III, and Left 4 Dead 2: The Passing (DLC). Microsoft also reinforced that Project Natal will make it in time for the holidays.

Microsoft Extends Warranty For "E74" Failures

While the majority of Xbox 360 owners continue to have a great experience with their console, we are aware that a very small percentage of our customers have reported receiving an error that displays "E74" on their screen. After investigating the issue, we have determined that the E74 error message can indicate the general hardware failure that is associated with three flashing red lights error on the console. As a result, we have decided to cover repairs related to the E74 error message under our three-year warranty program for certain general hardware failures that was announced in July 2007.

PinoyXBOX Downtime Issues

Due to a surge in traffic for both registered members and guest (unregistered), PinoyXBOX will occasionally encounter some downtime for both front page and forums. Rest assured that the moderators are occasionally checking out the forums and will try to keep it online as much as possible. We would like to apologize to any of our members that have been inconvenienced by these problems. We would like to urge everyone to remain patient as we look for solutions to fix these problems.

New Final Fantasy 13 trailer

There is a new Final Fantasy trailer available, check out the video below. Final Fantasy 13 will be released in Japan (Japanese language version) late this year for the Playstation 3. English localized version will be released for both the XBOX 360 and the PS3 in 2010.

Gears of War 2 - Title Update 2 Now Available on Xbox Live!

Stopped playing Gears of War 2 Multiplayer because of glitches and bugs with the online game? Give the game another chance! Epic Games just recently released a major update for Gears of War 2 which improves online play. It can be downloaded automatically when you load up the game and sign in to Xbox Live.
